Active Rentals
View a renter's current space rentals, billing details, and start the check-in process.
Overview
The Active Rentals tab (on any renter’s profile) shows every space they’re currently leasing. You can see rental details, billing schedules, and start the check-in process when they’re ready to vacate.
To get here: Go to Renters → click a Renter-ID → click the Active Rentals tab.
Account stats
At the top you’ll see four numbers for this renter:

| Balance Due | Total owed across unpaid invoices |
| Total Billed | Lifetime total of all invoices |
| Deposit Balance | Security deposits held |
The rentals table
Each active rental is a row in the table:

| Space | The Space-ID they’re renting (e.g., CAT-A-01) |
| Start | When the rental began |
| Billing Interval | How often they’re billed and the number of days |
| Amount | Charge per billing period |
| Next Billing | When the next invoice will be generated |
| Status | Shows “Active” for current rentals |
| Select | Checkbox to select for check-in |
Understanding billing intervals
LeaseLlama supports flexible intervals:

The Amount is calculated as: daily rate × billing interval days.
Checking in a space from here
When a renter is ready to vacate:
- Click the checkbox next to the rental
- The Space Check-In button activates (top right)
- Click it to begin the check-in process
You can only select one rental at a time. For renters vacating multiple spaces, complete each check-in separately.
No active rentals?
If the table is empty, the renter doesn’t currently have any space rentals. This is normal for:
- New renters who haven’t checked out a space yet
- Former renters who’ve vacated all their spaces (usually marked Inactive)
Common questions
How do I rent a new space to this customer? You can’t do it from this tab. Go to Spaces → find an available space → click Space Check-Out → select this renter.
Can I change the billing interval mid-rental? Not directly. You’d need to check the renter in and check them out again with new terms.
Where does the rental go after check-in? It’s removed from Active Rentals and recorded in the renter’s Ledger as history.
